Imogen In National Theatre Production

Imogen

Her latest project is produced by the National Theatre Connections Programme and took place at the  Theatre Royal, York on 16th April. Her first experience of treading the boards at a real theatre. All the family were  in the auditorium to show her encouragement.

Connections is the National Theatre’s annual, nationwide youth theatre festival. The program is 30 years old and has a history of championing the talent of young people from across the UK. https://www.nationaltheatre.org.uk/learn-explore/young-people/connections/

Imogen is cast as Tazz, a leading part in Back in the Day a short story play by Yasmeen Khan.
Synopsis A group of classmates are responsible for being their school’s well-being champions. In a freak occurrence, they are transported back to the ’80s via an impromptu and heavily improvised roller disco.

Curtain up: The cast with Tazz at the front appeared to loud applause.
The play was wonderfully led by Tazz as her classmates enjoyed a journey into past lives of their family with tragic and funny scenes. The roller skating storyline was hilarious. Well done Yasmeen Khan.

Imogen was exceptionally good, A natural talent in acting. There were tears in our eyes. The rest of the cast also remarkable and deservingly received a standing ovation at the curtain call.

We congratulated her and showered her with flowers. Can’t wait to see her next project.
